Kes werd 9e in deze proef. Omdat we altijd lekker thuis slapen, waren we zondag al om 7 uur smorgens op weg voor de V5Y. De V5Y is de viergang recreatieklasse voor de jeugd. Dúx vindt deze proef altijd makkelijker. Ook nu mocht hij smiddags de finale meerijden omdat hij ‘smorgens in de selectie bij de eerste 5 (4e) was. Maar hoewel het met de draf op zich niet zo lukte (1 keer een paar pasjes!) wordt zijn tölt wel steeds beter! We gaan oefenen! Kom maar hier met die hardloopschoenen! Jaarcursus, alweer de vierde lesdag
ZZondag 6 januari 2013 Begin van een nieuw jaar, tijd voor alweer de vierde les van de jaarcursus. We hadden de afgelopen weken weinig geoefend. De dagen waren kort en het was snel donker. Natuurlijk hielpen de drukke feestdagen ook niet erg. De tijd vloog om en we hadden maar 2 keer geoefend voor we weer naar de jaarcursus reden. Het was aan Frægur niet echt te merken dat we niet veel geoefend hadden. Het zat er nog allemaal goed in 😉 We hebben travers en schouderbinnenwaarts gedaan als opwarmertje en daarna begonnen met het appuyeren. Het gaat nog niet eens om de perfecte appuyement. Het belangrijkste was vooral hem weg te krijgen van de wand die vaak als steun wordt gebruikt door zowel het paard als de trainer. Vanuit de travers heb ik hem op aanwijzingen van Natalie langzaam weg weten te krijgen van de wand. Het was voor ons allebei hard werken 🙂 Maar het begin is er! ’s Middags heb ik niet gereden, omdat hij thuis stevig in de modder gerold had. Hij was tot boven zijn ellebogen vies! Gelukkig had ie een deken om zodat het nog een beetje wat leek. In de privéles zijn we verder gegaan met het appuyement en het oefenen van de travers op de volte. Het ging allemaal wat moeilijk (het ging beter toen we een langere zweep hadden) dus had Natalie hem even overgenomen. Na hard werken van beide kanten lukte het haar om een goed appuyement te krijgen vanuit de travers. Dat ging zo goed dat ze zelfs even een beginnetje kon maken met de werkpirouette! Thuis gaan we verder oefenen met het appuyement en de travers op de volte. Spreuk van de dag: It takes two to tango!

Op zaterdag 3 en zondag 4 augustus kwam Yvonne Bosman ons weer met een bezoek vereren!

Jaarcursus: les 7
zondag 7 april, de 7e les op 7 april 😉 Het weer voelt bijna lenteachtig aan ook al rij ik ‘smorgens met mijn paard de mist naar Langedijke. Ik heb een paar cadeautjes bij me: Sophie is vandaag jarig. Met de hele groep hebben we een paar cadeaus gekocht. Zij heeft appeltaart mee.
Maar het gaat natuurlijk vooral om de lessen en de paarden. Eerst hebben we theorie. Ditmaal weer een oefening zonder paard: staan met het zwaartepunt op de goede plek en daarna lopen. Zoals we staan, moeten we zitten op het paard en zoals we lopen, moeten we rijden. In de eerste les laten Frægur en ik de travers zien, halverwege de lange zijde omgesteld naar een schouderbinnenwaarts. Het moet allemaal nog wat zekerder en makkelijker, maar het is al een eind op de goede weg. Het appuyement gaat niet zo goed, Frægur vindt het nog te moeilijk. Om het voor hem wat makkelijker te maken, gaan we eerst het renvers oefenen. Bij de privéles ’s middags gaan we verder met het oefenen van het renvers. We zetten het paard dan eerst stil op de hoefslag in een schouderbinnenwaarts. Daarna gaat de stelling om naar de hoefslag toe. Daardoor wordt het binnenbeen het buitenbeen en sta ik aan de bolle kant van het paard. De voorhand blijft dus op de tweede hoefslag, de achterhand blijft op de hoefslag en het hoofd kijkt in de richting waar hij heengaat. Zo loopt het paard dan in stelling. Maar zover zijn we nog niet hoor 🙂 Eerst hebben we het in stilstand geoefend. Natalie heeft eerst geprobeerd wat bij hem werkt. (Vinden jullie niet dat hij er prachtig verzameld uitziet?)
Daarna mocht ik het proberen. In schouderbinnenwaarts en daarna, rustig aan, zijn hoofd naar de andere kant. Als de balans oke is, mogen we één pasje naar voren doen. Langer kan hij het nog niet volhouden….. Natuurlijk gaan we de komende tijd oefenen!

Zondag 3 februari, alweer de vijfde les. Vroeg opstaan, wat niet altijd makkelijk is, maar waar je dan wel een prachtige opgaande zon kan zien.
Frægur en ik hadden afgelopen maand helemaal niet geoefend, door het weer, de korte dagen en meer van dat soort excuses. Gelukkig zat alles wat we de afgelopen maanden gedaan hebben nog prima in zijn geheugen en konden we verder gaan waar we gebleven waren. Maar eerst hebben we smorgens tijdens de theorie op elkaar geoefend. Met zweepjes als een soort degen tegen elkaar moesten we elkaar, zonder te praten, duidelijk maken wat we wilden. Eerst met een braaf “paard” dat alles probeerde te begrijpen en te doen, daarna met een stout “paard” die probeerde te ontsnappen, het niet begreep of gewoon niet deed. Dat was erg leuk (vooral om stout paard te zijn 😉 ) en ook veel van geleerd. Volgende keer gaan we weer oefenen. Want zo kan je “droog” oefenen en kijken of je paard het begrijpt. Ook hebben we zo de hulpen voor travers en schouderbinnenwaarts geoefend. Heel verhelderend. Dat gaan we volgende keer weer oefenen, in de tussentijd kunnen we ook thuis oefenen, evt. met huisgenoten 🙂
Daarna hebben we tijdens de les weer het appuyement geoefend.
Dat ging op de linkerhand heel makkelijk, alsof we wel geoefend hadden! Misschien dat Frægur ‘snachts stiekem oefent? Op rechts gaat het nog wel moeilijk. Daarom hebben we als huiswerk meegekregen op de rechterhand te wisselen van travers naar de schouderbinnenwaarts via de bended straight. Als dat soepeler gaat, zal het appuyement ook makkelijk zijn op de rechterhand.
Met de privéles ’s middags zijn we verder gegaan waar we ’s morgens gebleven waren. Dit keer gingen we oefenen om meer naar in de hand te gaan werken (oftewel, ernaast lopen met twee teugels in je hand). Natalie had hem even overgenomen om te kijken hoe het ging en waar hij op reageerde. Op de linkerhand vond hij het moeilijk. Zodra Natalie naast hem ging lopen, ‘denderde’ hij naar voren. Als je voor hem loopt (het zgn grondwerk) blokkeer je hem natuurlijk ook. Nu heeft hij geen blokkade maar ook geen steun en moet hij het zelf doen. Dus ging Natalie via de verzamelde stap (meer balans) naar het “ernaast lopen” (handwerk). Dat verzamelen deed hij zo goed dat hij op een gegeven ogenblik bijna piaffeerde! Wat wordt het dan een mooi paardje! Uiteindelijk lukte het op de linkerhand. Toen ze nog even de rechterhand ging bekijken hoe het daar ging, ging hij daar binnen twee meter zo verzameld en op eigen benen, dat ze al snel naast hem liep.
